The Shift

Technology should serve you, not confuse you.

Many active seniors use WhatsApp or YouTube, but the phrase "Artificial Intelligence" can sound intimidating or unsafe. This course removes the technical jargon. AI is simply a very helpful, patient assistant sitting inside your device.

It can help you quickly write a thoughtful message, explain a confusing government letter, suggest a weekend itinerary, or even create a digital greeting card for a grandchild. We focus entirely on practical uses that make daily life simpler, while giving you the confidence to spot scams and protect your data.

Move from feeling unsure about new technology, to confidently using it to make daily life a little easier.

What you actually take home

You leave having made things.

We believe in hands-on learning. You won't just listen to theory; you will successfully create these four practical outcomes in class.

✉️

A clear, polished message

Learn how to instruct AI to help you write a polite request, a complaint, or a long message that sounds exactly like you, just clearer.

🖼️

A personalised digital card

Use simple AI prompts to generate beautiful, custom greeting cards or images to send to family and friends on WhatsApp.

📝

A plain-english summary

Take a long, confusing article or an official document and have the AI summarise it into a few simple bullet points you can easily understand.

📅

A simple daily plan

Ask the AI to help you plan an itinerary for a day out, organise a schedule, or even suggest recipes based on what's in your fridge.

The hurdles we overcome together

Familiar struggles, gentle solutions.

For the active senior

"I hear about AI but don't know where to start." We take it step-by-step from the very beginning, with zero assumed knowledge.
"I'm afraid of clicking the wrong thing." We teach you exactly what is safe, what to avoid, and how to protect your personal details.
"The classes are usually too fast." Our pacing is designed for comfort, with facilitators who are patient and encouraging.

For community buyers & partners

"Seniors drop out if it gets technical." Our curriculum focuses entirely on everyday relevance—no coding, no complex jargon.
"Safety and scams are our biggest concern." We explicitly weave digital safety, fact-checking, and scam awareness into the AI training.
"We need a turn-key active ageing program." We provide the facilitators, the curriculum, and the patience. You provide the room.
How we walk you through it

Three acts. In this order.

01
Act one

Content

The what — 16 hours of gentle, practical learning

16 hours over two days. The environment is supportive, hands-on, and focused purely on practical use-cases.

  • Day one. Introduction to AI as a conversational assistant. Writing better messages, asking questions, and getting helpful answers.
  • Day two. Summarising long texts, planning routines, generating simple images, and a strong focus on digital safety and spotting AI-generated misinformation.

Talking point: "It’s not a lecture. It’s a guided workshop where you press the buttons yourself, at a pace you are comfortable with."

02
Act two

Objective

The why — what learners actually leave with

Every learner finishes with:

  • Digital independence. The confidence to use AI tools on their own smartphones or tablets without having to constantly ask younger family members for help.
  • A safety-first mindset. Knowing how to verify information and avoid sharing sensitive data.
  • Tangible creations. Messages, itineraries, and images they generated themselves during the class.

Talking point: "You leave feeling in control of the technology, rather than intimidated by it."

03
Act three

Pricing

The how — tailored for community groups

Course fees are highly structured to support active ageing hubs, community centres, and senior learner groups.

Subsidies and funding often apply for community-based cohorts. The Enablers will assess the group profile and provide the clearest funding pathway.

Talking point: "Let's look at the group size and background. We can usually structure this very cleanly with community funding."

Straight talk

Who this is for.

This is for you if

You are 60 or above and curious about how AI can help you.
You prefer a patient, step-by-step teaching style.
You want to use AI for practical things: messages, planning, reading.
You already know how to use WhatsApp or browse the internet basically.

This is not for you if

You want to learn programming, coding, or enterprise AI tools.
You are looking for a fast-paced corporate productivity seminar.
You have absolutely zero experience using a smartphone or tablet (basic familiarity is required).
A learner in their own words

"I always asked my children to help me read the long letters from the CPF board. In this class, I learned how to make the AI explain it to me in three simple sentences. It feels incredibly empowering to just do it myself."

Addressing common concerns

It's normal to feel unsure.

They say"I am too old to learn this AI stuff."
You sayAI is actually much easier to use than computers were 20 years ago. You just talk to it in plain English. If you can send a WhatsApp message, you can use AI.
They say"Isn't AI dangerous and full of scams?"
You sayLike any tool, it has risks. That is exactly why we teach this course. We spend dedicated time showing you how to verify information and avoid sharing private details so you stay safe.
They say"I don't have a laptop, can I still join?"
You sayAbsolutely. The tools we teach work perfectly on the smartphone or tablet you already use every day.
They say"I learn very slowly, will I be left behind?"
You sayNo. The 16 hours are spread out comfortably. Our facilitators are specifically trained to teach seniors, and we move at the pace of the room.
Common questions

Do I need to pay for any expensive software?+
No. We focus on free, accessible AI tools that you can continue using long after the course finishes without paying subscriptions.
Can we organise a private class for our community centre?+
Yes, this is very common. The Enablers can help schedule a dedicated cohort just for your community group or active ageing hub.
What language is the course conducted in?+
Currently, the primary instruction is in English, but our facilitators are experienced in supporting learners who may need concepts explained simply. Bilingual support can be arranged for private cohorts.
